After my Ubuntu8.04 upgrade, You need to recompile the sound card driver sudoapt-getinstallbuild-essential in the alsa-driver-1.0.15/sound/Documentation/ALSA-Configuration.txt to find your own sound card decoding chip corresponding to the model name compiling cdalsa-driver-1.0.14rc3./configure --
After upgrading my Ubuntu 8.04, You need to recompile the sound card driver.
Sudo apt-get install build-essential
Find the model name for your sound card decoder chip in alsa-driver-1.0.15/sound/Documentation/ALSA-Configuration.txt
Compile
Cd alsa-driver-1.0.14rc3
./Configure -- with-cards = hda-intel
Make
Sudo make install
Cd./alsa-lib-1.0.14rc3
./Configure
Sudo make install
Cd./alsa-utils-1.0.14rc2
./Configure
Sudo make install
In addition, errors may occur during compilation:
Mv: cannot stat make [2]: Entering directory '/usr/src/alsa/alsa-utils-1.0.16/alsaconf/po'
Mv: cannot confirm 't- ja. GMO': No such file or directory
The solution is to create an empty file by yourself ~ Alsa-utils-10.16/alsaconf/po/t-ja.gmo
Re-make, and then prompt that another file does not exist. Create an empty file and make it again in the same way.
Finally, execute alsaconf.
Restart OK.
