Article Title: solves the problem of Linux screen installation in VirtualPC. Linux is a technology channel of the IT lab in China. It includes desktop applications, Linux system management, kernel research, embedded systems, open source, and other basic categories, when I installed Fedora 8 on Virtual PC 2007, I encountered a "Famous" screen. First, I modified the default display color of Linux according to some methods collected from the Internet, the specific method is as follows:

1. Insert the installation disc and select Rescue install system;

2. in the dialog box that appears next, you will be asked to select the language and keyboard type, and then you will be asked if you want to Start network interfaces and select NO. In the following dialog box, select Continue, then you will mount your local Linux to the/mnt/sysimage directory.

3. Then run chroot/mnt/sysimage to mount your local Linux server.

4. Run vi/ext/X11/xorg. conf, change the value of DefaultDepth to 16 in the opened file, save it, exit, and restart.

As I said on the Internet, this can be done, but in fact, on my computer, although this method can make my xWindow display normally, the text mode still has a screen, so I asked CSDN experts, but I was disappointed that no feasible solution was available. As a result, I had to use the rescue mode of the installation CD every time to connect to Linux and then start learning. It was very troublesome. The most important thing was that I was very upset.

But yesterday I suddenly thought that since the Shell in the virtual machine cannot be normally displayed, can I use a remote Shell to log on? So I installed SSH for the purpose of trying it out (it is not difficult to solve the problem by Google). The result is OK, so I am very happy ~

BTW: although this method can work normally now, I don't know if it will affect some advanced usage, Because I basically don't know Linux, so I don't know what problems will happen in the future, but I think this should be basically no problem for beginners, that's why I added this subtitle "maybe only suitable for Linux Beginners ".
