When you recently used pirut (Add/Remove software) and installed an independent RPM software package on Fedora 8, an error is frequently reported. Some error messages are as follows:
Component: pirut
Summary: TBaa979ac4 priorities. py: 88: exclude_hook: AttributeError: 'nonetype 'object has no attribute 'samearch'

Although it is not a big problem, it is inconvenient to use and annoying. After searching online, the solution is as follows:

Run sudo gedit/usr/lib/yum-plugins/priorities. py on the terminal.
Edit row 88th:
Replace "if opts. samearch:" with "if opts and opts. samearch:". Save and exit.

Valid in Fedora 8 system!
