Solve the Problem of silent flash playback In Debian-Debian information in the Linux release. The following is a detailed description. Author: Long Xin, China
I recently found that there is no sound for playing flash In Debian, while playing other videos in other players is normal. By mistake, I tried to change it. It was really amazing.
Let's talk about some of the previously modified items. The methods changed on the Internet include:
According to the experience of some people on the Internet, the above changes have not been made, but there is no effect, playing flash still has no sound.
Later, we found that after the process named "esd" in the process is killed, the flash player will have a sound. But this is annoying. On the one hand, it is really cumbersome to kill the esd every time you want to play the flash. On the other hand, if ao = "oss" is set in the mplayer configuration file, the audio and video are played silently before the esd is killed. If it is set to ao = "esd, after the esd is killed, the mplayer is played silently. In short, this is not a perfect solution.
Well, it's time to get started. My approach is:
1. Keep the previous modification.
2. Install the libesd-alsa0 (sound card drive it ). Libesd0 is installed by default. Only one of the two can be installed. when the former is installed, the latter will be automatically uninstalled.
3. Set ao = alsa in the mplayer configuration file.
Perfect! It's done! Flash and other audio and video are all happy.
Note: ln-s/usr/lib/libesd. so.0/usr/lib/libesd. so.1 this step does not seem to work, because libesd after the libesd-alsa0 is installed. so.1 the link is automatically deleted.
