There are a lot of articles on the Ubuntu website that set up static IP addresses. I will not describe them here. I will only record the main process: 1. sudovi/etc/network/interfacesautoloifaceloinetloopback # staticautoeth0ifaceeth0inetstaticaddressxxx. xxx. xxx. xxxgatewayxxx. xxx. xxx.
There are a lot of articles on the Ubuntu website that set up static IP addresses. I will not describe them here, but only record the main process:
1. sudo vi/etc/network/interfaces
Auto lo
Iface lo inet loopback
# Static
Auto eth0
Iface eth0 inet static
Address xxx. xxx
Gateway xxx. xxx
Netmask xxx. xxx
: Wq
2. sudo vi/etc/resolv. conf
# Generated by NetworkManager
Nameserver 10.1.8.33 DNS
3. Stop the network manager Service to prevent it from overwriting the/etc/resolv. conf file at startup.
Sudo service network-manager stop
Sudo/etc/init. d/network-manager stop
This method cannot completely solve the problem that resolv. conf is overwritten. Therefore, we can disable the start of network manager as follows:
Sudo vi/etc/init/network-manager.conf
Comment out start on
4. sudo reboot
So far, the static IP address configuration process is complete.
