string Strip_tags ( string $str [, string $allowable _tags ])
The function tries to return the result of the given string str after removing null characters, HTML, and PHP tags. It uses the same markup as the function fgetss () to remove the state machine.
Parameters:
$STR: Input string
$allowable_tags: Specifies a list of characters that are not removed using the optional second parameter.
Instance:
<?php
$text= ' <p>test paragraph.</p><!--Comment--<a href= "#fragment" >other text</a> ';
EchoStrip_tags($text);
Echo"\ n";
//Allow <p> and <a>
EchoStrip_tags($text, ' <p><a> ');
?>
Results:
Test paragraph. Other text<p>test paragraph.</p> <a href= "#fragment" >other text</a>
Note: Because strip_tags () cannot actually validate HTML, incomplete or broken labels will result in more data being deleted.
