Telnet login of routing switching technology

First: The principle of Experiment:

Configure the IP address of the VLAN1 on both switches, connect the f0/0 (or F0/1) ports of the two switches with the twisted pair, configure Telnet separately, and then you can log on to the other switch as Telnet on each switch.

Second: The experimental steps:

2.1: Configure the IP address on both switches

En-> Entering privileged mode

Config t-> into global configuration mode

int VLAN 1-> into VLAN1

IP address 1.1.1.17 255.255.255.0-> Configuring the management IP addresses of the switch

No shut-> activates the port, making the configuration effective

Similarly configure the management IP of the other switch

2.2: Configure Telnet on the three-layer switch

In Global configuration mode:

Enable password 0 star-> Configure the Enable password

Line vty 0 4-> into thread configuration mode, 0 4 means allow 4 users to log in

Password 0 star-> Configure the password for Telnet

login-> user name and password to enable Telnet

Exit-> exit

2.3: Configure Telnet on a two-tier switch

In Global configuration mode:

Enable Secret Level 1 0 star-> Configure the password for Telnet, which is the level password

Enable secret 0 star-> Configure enable password, default is level 15 password

2.4: Telnet Telnet

On the three-layer switch:

Telnet 1.1.1.17

You are prompted for a telnet password, which we set for the star

Enable

You will be prompted to enter the Enable password, which we set for star

Login successful

Similarly, verify on another switch
