The implementation of the mail sending function of Drupal website

Drupal site can use Gmail mailbox to send mail to users, the implementation of similar functions have SMTP or Phpmailer module, I use the Phpmailer module, the following is the process of my configuration, posted for your reference.

1. Download Phpmailer module

2, enable the Phpmailer module, in the "Site Settings" point "Phpmailer" settings, the page will be error "Class ' Phpmailer ' not found in .... Phpmailer.class.inc".

Why is it? The original Phpmailer module also needs class.phpmailer.php class.smtp.php

Open the Phpmailer module under the Phpmailer folder, the folder has a COPYHERE.txt, open can read a word:
Copy the downloaded files class.phpmailer.php class.smtp.php into this directory.

So when installing the module, you need to carefully read the documentation in the module to reduce the chance of error.

3, OK, download the above required files, you can go to configure the Phpmailer

Gmail's SMTP server is: smtp.gmail.com,

The port is: 465, this page is prompted.

Use encrypted Protocol (whether encryption protocol is used): This option uses SSL

User name: Enter your Gmail user name, note here do not add @gmail.com, the front of the can.

Password: the password for your Gmail account

Name: The name of the sender in the message

Test Email Address: You can enter one of your own mailbox to see if you can receive mail.

4. After the setup is complete, you can receive the email from the website when you check the email.
