Ts o has been a member of the Foundation and serves as the Chief platform strategy officer. according to the foundation, he is recognized as one of the most respected professionals in the Linux and open-source communities. the former CTO Markus Rex of the Foundation has returned to Novell as the general manager and senior vice president of Open Platform Solutions.

Ts will be responsible for the foundation's technical innovation, including supervising and managing LSB (Linux Standard Base) and Open Printing and other working groups. he will also be responsible for communication with foundation members and representatives of the Linux kernel community, namely the Technical Advisory Board.

Ts o said that he believes that the power of unity and cooperation, a community composed of developers, users and industry vendors, will be of great strength. he said in his statement: "I am looking forward to turning this power into tangible achievements and making important contributions to the development of LSB and Linux in the next year."

Previously, Ts o was a senior technical engineer of IBM. his latest project is an enterprise Real-Time Linux solution. according to the current plan, he will return to IBM after the foundation's term of office.

The foundation said he was also the project owner of the Kerberos authentication system for Linux and Windows systems.
