Twiki permission installation in Linux

For details about twiki permission installation in Linux-Linux Enterprise Application-Linux server application, see the following. Recently, the company set up an internal collaboration platform using TWiki 4.1.2 and the server is CentOS4. Some problems encountered during the construction process, and they also struggled to find a solution. After this is done, paste these things out, hoping to help colleagues who will install TWiki in the future!

After loading TWiki, visit the twiki webpage and the Forbidden and Permission denied error message is displayed.

Rt ~, View/var/log/httpd/error_log and Permission denied. However, the twiki directory and the following data are already chmod 777, and its parent directories are home and bi (user directory) both have the x permission. Why is access denied?

If you are using Redhat Enterprise Linux 4 or Fedora Core 2 or above, it is because these systems activate SELinux, and apache settings conflict with SELinux settings, so make appropriate adjustments.

1. If the directory structure is/home/bi/twiki, make sure that the twiki data attribute is httpd_user_content_t. Run the following command to view the data:
Ls-Z/home/bi/
Drwxr-xr-x nobody user_u: object_r: user_home_dir_t twiki
If not, you can use chcon to change the Directory and file level by level until the last access is available:
Chcon-R-t httpd_user_content_t/home/bi/twiki
Chcon-t user_home_dir_t/home/bi

2. assume that the directory structure is/home/bi/twiki/bin. This directory stores the perl script of twiki and checks the script attributes as defined in The SELinux contexts file. The script must be the httpd_sys_script_exec_t attribute. Use the ls-Z command to view the changes. If not, use the following command:
Chcon-t httpd_sys_script_exec_t/home/bi/twiki/bin /*

OK. restart apache (service httpd restart) to access the twiki webpage.

After Twiki is installed, the user name and password are added to htpasswd (the htpasswd. htpasswd someuser command is used in the twiki/data directory). The password is correct in login but cannot be logged on.

Rt ~, When you log on to Twiki, the username and password are entered correctly (the htpasswd authentication method is used, and the username and password are consistent with those set in htpasswd), but the logon box is displayed after confirmation, mySQL user AndyLuo not found... is displayed in/var/log/httpd/error_log .... Generally, TWiki does not need databases.

Find a solution in the twiki Forum. After translating e files, if the mod_auth_mysql module is installed in Apache, even though basic authentication is set, apache uses MySQL for authentication first, so MySQL users cannot be found.

Solution: Add AuthMySQLEnable off to the directory label of httpd. conf to cancel MySQL authentication, as shown below:

Options All
AuthMySQLEnable off
AllowOverride All

Try logging on again. It should be easy to use.

TWiki Chinese support

TWiki is iso8859-1 encoding by default, does not support Chinese editing, the interface is also full English.

How can we make TWiki support Chinese and the interface also becomes Chinese (international?

Configure the following items in configure:
{UserInterfaceInternationalisation} √
{Ages} {'zh-cn'} {Enabled} √
{DisplayTimeValues} servertime
{UseLocale} √
Zh_CN.UTF-8 {Site} {Locale}
{Site} {LocaleRegexes} √
{Site} {CharSet} UTF-8
{Site} {Lang} zh
{Site} {FullLang} zh-cn
{PluralToSingular} √

Install CGI: Session Module

If this module is not installed in perl, twiki will not be able to provide session support (every time you log on to edit). You can run the following command to install it:
[Root @ mail twiki] # perl-MCPAN-e 'Install CGI: session'
Press enter.
