1. Open virtualbox, select [settings]-[network], and change the connection mode to [Bridged Adapter]

2. In Ubuntu,

Run sudo gedit/etc/network/interfaces

Modify as follows:

Auto lo

Iface lo inet loopback

Auto eth0

Iface eth0 inet static


Netmask # change it to your mask here

Gateway # change to your gateway here

Run sudo gedit/etc/resolv. conf

Modify as follows:

Nameserver # Domain Name Server

3. Run/etc/init. d/networking restart to restart
