To put an aside, some people pointed out that the video was suspected of fraud after Google released the Chrome test video. Finally, the official authorities admitted that part of the video was fraudulent to achieve better rendering results.
The following is a test conducted by the Softpedia website. The system platform is the latest Ubuntu 10.04. The test objects are Chrome 5.0 and Chromium5 (equivalent to the Technical preview version), Opera 10.10, Firefox 3.6.3, and Opera 10.53, excluding Apple Safari and IE.
Ensure the accuracy and fairness of the test as much as possible. The test environment is the same throughout the process, where the average value is obtained for 10 test operations in V8 and the average value is obtained for five times in SunSpider.
Figure (1) V8 Benchmark Test Results
First, in Google's own V8 performance test, Chrome 5 and Chromium 5 achieved the first two with significant advantages, followed by the Opera 10.53 for Linux test. Firefox and Opera 10.10 were unsatisfactory.
Figure (2) SunSpiderBenchmark Test Result
The SunSpider performance test was conducted by the Apple WebKit development team and the results were relatively objective. Opera 10.53 won the championship, but the same Opera 10.10 won the championship. The difference between Chrome and Chromium is very weak.

Finally, the Sputnik test was used. Although it was also from Google, the first test in this test was Opera 10.53. The other four products were evenly distributed, and the last one was Firefox 3.6.3.
According to recent statistics by NetApp, Microsoft Internet Research Institute (Internet Research Institute), Microsoft IE still has the highest market share after several months of continuous decline, about 59%; the biggest increase was Google Chrome's 5% share.
