Ubuntu10.10 can be connected to a vro but cannot be connected to the Internet-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. The following is a detailed description. I used to be good. I automatically connected to the network when I started, but recently I updated some things. What's puzzling is that the network cannot be connected.
Then I searched Baidu and Google (I tried many methods and posted them all below)

First, follow Method 1:
No, but I forgot to save the items in interfaces.
Address 192.168.1. * (this is the IP address set for yourself, * is changed to a number)
Netmask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1 (this is the route address)
These values are true or not, and then I try to rebuild the wireless network (the router TP-LINK_66B4AC in our bedroom) when the password is added, wireless networks can be connected at this time, but I can open the browser homepage (the homepage is google search). However, if I search for anything, I will first parse the host google and then jump out of a prompt saying that I cannot access the Internet.

Next: I tried method 2.
Run to: 2. Execute the command: sudo pppoeconf3, enter the password of your local account, 4. Press Enter next. You are required to enter the Internet account and password, if you can access the Internet, it is not displayed. You are required to enter the Internet account and password. Instead, you are prompted how eth0 does not seem to be found. I forgot

Someone said that I had changed the DNS and I found the DNS of China Telecom.
Change # Generated by NetworkManager of the conf file
Nameserver + China Telecom's DNS still does not work. I will change it back.

Method 3: (see below)
I can't even check my own IP address.
Four computers in our dormitory, three of which have IP addresses 192.168.0.101 --- 192.168.0.103 ----- 192.168.0.104
So my website is 192.168.0.102, but they are not ubuntu. I don't know if they will affect it?

Let's help me out. It's about to crash for one night.

Method 1:
Ubuntu10.10 cannot access the Internet
When installing 10.10 For others, there may be a lot of situations where the Internet cannot be routed. After studying the original routing configuration problems, you can specify static IP addresses.
Sudo gedit/etc/network/interfaces
Replace the original content with the static configuration. The general format is:
Auto eth0
Iface eth0 inet static
Address 192.168.1. * (this is the IP address set for yourself, * is changed to a number)
Netmask 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.1.1 (this is the route address)
Save and exit.
Sudo gedit/etc/resolv. conf
If there is no DNS, add it manually, for example:
Nameserver 8.8.8.8 (this is Google's DNS)
Restart the network: sudo/etc/init. d/networking restart
If the problem persists, check the ifconfig information. Ifconfig first to see if there is eth $ ($ is usually 0). For example, if the terminal inputs sudo ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.8 netmask 255.255.0 eth0

Method 2:
Ubuntu10.04 suddenly cannot access the Internet
Ubuntu §, by chinacnd. today, my ubuntu10.04 was suddenly unable to access the Internet, and I found that I could not solve the problem by finding a variety of methods on the Internet. Finally, I found that the reason may be that I set another fixed ip address, inadvertently, I set two identical ip addresses, causing a conflict and cannot access the Internet. The solution is:
1. Delete All configured ip addresses and automatically obtained ip addresses;
2. restart the computer;
3. automatically obtain an ip address or set a static ip address to access the Internet.
A solution found on the Internet is available and may be used in the future:
If XP can access the Internet, it means that the network hardware is okay. Follow these steps to access the Internet through ADSL. 1. Start the terminal window in Ubuntu. 2. Run the following command: sudo pppoeconf3, enter the password of your local account, and press Enter next to the next line. In the middle, you are required to enter the Internet account and password, and you have entered the password, if you can access the Internet and disconnect the network, run the following command: sudo poff.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Method 3:
Press sudo gedit/etc/network/interfaces in the terminal and press Enter. A file can be modified. Close and save as follows. Auto loiface lo inet loopbackauto eth0iface eth0 inet staticaddress 192.168.0.103 (enter your IP address here) gateway 192.168.0.1 (enter gateway) netmask 255.255.255.0 (subnet mask)
Enter sudo/etc/init. d/networking restart on the terminal and press Enter. Subnet Mask, gateway, etc. If you do not know, go to windows and enter ipconfig/all in cmd and press Enter.
If the link still fails, take the following measures. Modify sudo gedit/etc/network/interfaces to auto loiface lo inet loopbackauto eth0iface eth0 inet dhcp and save and disable it. Enter sudo/etc/init. d/networking restart again in the terminal and press Enter.
The final problem should be solved. The success mark is that the command line has "OK" at the end.
Okay, the problem is solved.
