Phoronix released an article on the Performance Evaluation of Ubuntu11.04 startup. They tested the performance from Ubuntu8.04 to 11.04 (the latest version) on five devices) the startup speed and maximum Disk Quota of each version. According to the final result, the startup speed of Ubuntu11.04 is basically slower than that of previous versions, except for 9.10. -The following is the summary of the data obtained after testing on each device, including the Phoronix release of each version to evaluate the Startup Performance of Ubuntu 11.04, on the five devices, they respectively tested the startup speed and maximum disk volume of each version from Ubuntu 8.04 to 11.04 (the latest version. According to the final result, the startup speed of Ubuntu 11.04 is basically slower than that of previous versions except 9.10.
-The following is the summary data obtained after testing on each device, including the startup speed and maximum Disk Quota of each version.
From the data in, we can see that Ubuntu 11.04 is obviously slower than the previous version 10.10, but the maximum disk quota is increased. Previously, Ubuntu developers wanted to set the startup speed to less than 10 seconds. It seems that this is definitely an impossible task.
