IBus stands for Intelligent Input Bus for Linux/Unix OS, which is the next-generation Input Method Framework (or "Platform "), the project is now available in Google Code-http://code.google.com/p/ibus/, which includes text input requirements for most languages in the world-maintained by developers in multiple countries around the world. It exists to replace the old scim, and most Linux distributions have used it to replace scim.

Install and set the IBUS Input Method

IBus is a framework that supports multiple input methods.

Question 1: select the built-in Ubuntu SystemPinYin Input MethodIt is incorrect. By default, Chinese and Chinese phrases cannot be entered. Please install other IBus-based input methods independently.
Problem 2: The IBUS1.2.0 version of Ubuntu has a bug. After the backspace key is used to delete characters, the input method cannot continue to work. Use the third-party source of PPA to upgrade IBus to version 1.3.6 or later. (The official Ubuntu software source has not been updated to the latest version)

Click System> preferences> IBUS preferencesSwitch Input Method Tab, Point AddLeft Drop-down list boxSelect Chinese-> PINYINBack AddButton.

DeletePINYIN.
You can pressCtrl + SpaceSwitch the input method of English and pinyin.

• Install common five-stroke input methods:

sudo apt-get install ibus-table-wubi

For other operations, use Alt + Shift on the left to switch between Pinyin and five.

• Install another Pinyin input method, ibus-sunpinyin, which is suitable for a large number of input.

Perform the following steps:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ibus-dev/ibus-1.3-lucid

sudo apt-get install ibus-sunpinyin
