Ubuntu12.10 has replaced GDM2 with LightDM, but the LightDM topic is always the same. So far, no method has been found to change the LightDM topic, so I want to change it to the MDM logon manager, change the login interface of Ubuntu12.10 by the way. The MDM logon manager is a branch of the GDM2 logon manager. That is to say, it is actually GDM2. First, add the source and install sudoadd-apt-repositoryppa: nil.

The MDM logon manager is a branch of the GDM2 logon manager. That is to say, it is actually GDM2.
First, add the source and install it:
- Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: nilarimogard/webupd8
- Sudo apt-get update
- Sudo apt-get install mdm mint-mdm-themes
Switch the logon manager to MDM and enter the command (see 3.MDM)
Sudo dpkg-reconfigure mdm
Select the MDM logon Manager (SEE) and restart the Ubuntu 12.10 operating system to use the MDM logon manager.
Finally, change the MDM topic. After the machine is restarted, an application set in the logon window is displayed in the system management menu. You can use this to set the topic used by MDM.
I don't know why LightDM and GDM3 are used in Ubuntu 12.10, so I don't have to consider the user's desire and needs for custom themes.
