Ubuntu Network Management provides convenience for creating Wifi hotspots. However, because it uses an ad-hoc network, the Wifi created by Ubuntu cannot be used by the Android system. This article aims to solve this problem.
1. Install AP-Hostpot in Ubuntu
Sudo add-apt-repository ppa: nilarimogard/webupd8
Sudo apt-get update
Sudo apt-get install ap-hotspot
2. Updata for ubuntu 14.04
The hostapd version in Ubuntu 14.04 is buggy and doesn't work properly. to get AP-Hotspot to work with hostapd in Ubuntu 14.04, you need to downgrade hostapd and use apt to hold the package so it's not upgraded (there are many bugs on hostapd and later 14.04, so if you want to run it perfectly, You have to downgrade hostapd ...)
