Highlights of this release include:
Desktop version: includes the Compiz Fusion 3D desktop effect. All configurations are automatically installed on the printer and can be used immediately after being connected. The free implementation supported by Flash-Gnash is introduced; automated Firefox plug-in installation.
Server version: Includes AppArmor and pre-configured Installation Options for mail server, Print Server, database server, and file server to make it easier to deploy.
Edubuntu: Provides faster thin clients and updated logon managers.
Kubuntu: in addition to the highlights of the above desktop version, it also includes the doldolphin File Manager, Strigi desktop search software, and restricted driver manager.
