At least I use the following. first, add the Gutsy source to your source and execute the following command (if you also use cn99 as the resource source): echo 'debhttp: // Ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/gutsymainrestricted' | sudotee-a/etc/apt/sources. list next update: sudoapt-getupdate second
At least I use the following.
First, add the Gutsy source to your source and execute the following command (if you also use cn99 as the resource source ):
Echo 'deb http://Ubuntu.cn99.com/ubuntu/ gutsy main restricted' | sudo tee-a/etc/apt/sources. list
Next, update:
Sudo apt-get update
Second, you can install the new kernel (if you use AMD64-bit, change it ):
Sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-2.6.22-11-generic linux-headers-2.6.22-11 linux-headers-2.6.22-11-generic linux-image-2.6.22-11-generic
After the installation, restart the new kernel to take effect. Again
Sudo gedit/etc/apt/sources. list
Remove the source of the last line, and then update it. The new kernel of Gutsy is now securely included in Feisty.
