Maybe you have read my previous articles about Ubuntu installation. Maybe you are scared by the red warning text at the beginning of each article. Don't be too nervous, because I'm glad to tell you that this article will not contain such red warning text. As you can see in the title, the entire installation process is very simple, convenient, and absolutely painless! After the installation is complete, the Ubuntu you get is not a low-Performance Virtual Machine System, but a real Ubuntu running at full speed! You can get everything you want for Ubuntu

Maybe you have read my previous articles on Ubuntu 8.04 installation. You can get everything you want for Ubuntu. This is the first time I have installed Ubuntu with Wubi. I have tried Wubi before, but I have not completed a complete installation process. To write this tutorial, I used Wubi completely. Wubi is not just as simple as surprised.

Now, let's get down to the truth and start to introduce how to install Ubuntu with Wubi.

First, prepare a large partition with sufficient space (> 4 GB). The best format is NTFS, because the size of a file is larger than 4 GB. Prepare a LiveCD for Ubuntu 8.04, whether it is an ISO image or a burned CD. A free Winmount is recommended for a virtual optical drive (LiveCD will be used in the following instances, rather than an ISO image ). After the installation is complete, insert the disc into the optical drive or use the virtual optical drive to mount ISO. If you do not disable automatic running, you will see the following Ubuntu CD menu.

Click "Install inside Windows" To Go To The Wubi main interface. Select the partition with sufficient space in the installation drive, select the appropriate installation size, set the user name and password, the language is of course Chinese Simplified, and the desktop environment is Ubuntu. Click Install.

At this time, Wubi will automatically create an ISO image for Ubuntu.

Create a virtual hard disk in the selected partition. (Don't worry, the system installed with Wubi is not a virtual machine !)

Wait a moment and the first phase of installation is complete. Restart the system.
