Unable to connect to the VM using secureCRT

If you have used secureCRT to connect to a VM, you cannot connect to the VM-Linux general technology-Linux technology and application information. For details, refer to the following section. I used secureCRT 5.1 and SSH2 to connect to my virtual machine. After clicking "Confirm connection", a dialog box is displayed,
Enter a security shell password. Then I log on with the root and root passwords of my virtual machine. The logon is unsuccessful and a message indicating a password verification failure is displayed. Check whether the password is correct. (The image cannot be cut. Sorry)
I'm sure my root password is correct, but why can't I connect? Where is the problem. Please advise.
