Swfdec is an open-source Flash Player Library released in the form of LGPL protocol. It uses the libart library to render Flash Animation and GStreamer engine to play Flash animation. Swfdec includes the independent Flash Player swfdec-gnome and the browser plug-in swfdec-mozilla. Swfdec software is not installed in Ubuntu by default. Open the new software package manager window, click "Search" on the toolbar, and enter the keyword "swfdec" in the "Search" dialog box ", the search result is displayed in the list of installable software packages. Select and install the "swfdec-gnome" and "swfdec-mozilla" software packages.
The current version of swfdec-gnome is 2.26.0. After the installation is complete, find the "Swfdec Flash Player" item in the menu "application"> "audio and video", and click this item to run the Swfdec Flash Player. If no Swfdec Flash Player exists under this menu, right-click the properties of the swf file and select Swfdec flash player from the Open Mode tab.
