Ways to modify the default password for MySQL

For Windows platforms, when MySQL is installed, the system defaults to generating the license tables and accounts, and you do not need to execute mysql_install_db scripts to generate accounts and appropriate permission lists as you would on UNIX platforms. However, if you do not install MySQL in MSI format, you will need to manually add a new password to the root account after installation, because Root does not have password protection by default, and if you do not reassign the root account password, many non-native connections will not succeed. The specific update password steps are as follows:

C:\>mysql-u Root

Mysql>set password for ' root ' @ ' localhost ' =password (' newpasswd ');

Mysql>set password for ' root ' @ '% ' =password (' newpasswd '); This article can be selected

With the above settings, the root password will become newpasswd so that the root user root password is set to work.
