Web adaptor A problem that prompts you for a successful configuration when you reload the configuration

Environment

ArcGIS 10.1/10.2/10.3

Windwos 8.1

Tomcat 7.0.5

Problem Description

A 10.2.1 version of ArcGIS products, including desktop, server, and Web Adaptor, has been configured earlier on this computer, and the Web Adaptor has been registered with the server. Since the new version 10.3 is being tried, it has all been uninstalled and the new 10.3 product has been installed.

However, after you install the Web adaptor, you are prompted to configure a GIS Server that has been successfully configured, such as:

Note: The tomcat port is 8080

And you can access the published map service through http://localhost:8080/arcgis/rest/services, such as:

Also, there is no discovery in the manager that the Web adaptor has been registered, such as:

Because this issue is a risk of security, access to a map service without a registered license is a non-canonical behavior, so it needs to be addressed.

cause

As a result of the previous installation of version 10.2.1, the preliminary judgment is that the left file is not deleted, and that the file records information about the GIS server node.

According to the website's Web adaptor uninstall instructions, you need to log in to the manager before uninstalling the software before uninstalling the software. But my operation is to uninstall the GIS server and Web Adaptor directly and remove the Arcgis.war package directly from Tomcat. So judging should be the problem caused by not removing the clean web adaptor.

The initial exclusion is to check from the user of the current operating system (the general software will keep a directory in the installed user directory), and when the current user is found, there is a. Webadaptor directory with the following files in the directory:

When you open the ArcGIS directory again, the Webadaptor.config file is found, as shown in:

From the content of this file, it is registered with the local GIS Server, which can explain why the "already configured success" problem.

Workaround

The workaround is to remove the directory and restart Tomcat.

When you visit http://localhost:8080/arcgis/rest/services again, you are prompted not to have access to the GIS server, such as:

At this point, after rebooting Tomcat, we found the. Webadaptor directory that was previously deleted, and has recreated one, such as:

And the Webadaptor.config file is under the GIS node is blank, such as:

When you re-access http://localhost:8080/arcgis/, you connect directly to the interface that configures the WEB adaptor for your GIS server, such as:

After re-registration is normal use, while the Webadaptor.config file has been updated, such as:
