Apple's pay has been a mystery, as the world's largest internet company, at least in its market share.
Recently, according to Business Insider reports, Apple interns have a monthly salary of close to $7000, accounting for $80,000 a year.
Apple's part-time staff is likely to receive $2500 a month, according to a former Apple engineer who declined to be named, and if full-time, the monthly salary would double to $5000, meaning $60,000 a year. In the United States, the average annual income of Master degree holders is $62300, and the average annual income of undergraduate graduates is $52200; the average annual income of college graduates is only $38200. It seems that the Apple is very generous, the average engineer's salary is fast to catch up with the level of postgraduate.
But Apple's secrecy requirements for employees are very high. Everything you see and hear, employees are kept strictly confidential, and some of the office areas in the company are not accessible to all employees, and employees do not even know what to do with the work next door. No wonder, however, that Apple has been a high-security route. The question of why Apple's pay levels are exposed is a matter of some concern.
Other internet giants, by contrast, are not cheap: according to Glasdoor, Facebook and LinkedIn interns earn an average of $6,200 a month, an annual salary of $74,400. The Palantir and VMware internship students have a higher monthly salary and can keep pace with Apple. According to last year's U.S. Department of Commerce Statistics, the average annual salary for US residents is 52,800. It can be said that the interns of these internet companies have easily more than half people across the United States in their salaries.
