After a series of recent retaliatory attacks caused by the closure of the file sharing website Megaupload, Anonymous's Denial-of-Service "Cannon" has greatly reduced the number of shells fired later.
Although Anonymous members intend to break the INTERPOL website in February 28 (mainly through the online version of the "low-track Ionic Gun" Denial-of-Service tool ), moreover, some vulnerable websites (including most recently websites affiliated with Panda Security) have been destroyed, and the threats to attack larger targets have not been fulfilled. Some people think that the Organization's most daring plan-an attempt to paralyze the entire Domain Name System (DNS) on the Internet-is now called a "Giant" by Members of the Organization ".
However, this does not mean that the threat of more targeted DNS-based Denial of Service attacks disappears. Due to disappointment with the current Denial-of-Service tool, Anonymous members are developing the next generation of attack tools. In addition to other options, it will regard DNS itself as a weapon.
