Why do we use less odd fonts in Webpage Design ?, Is there an odd font in the webpage design?

I. Reasons for UI designers

Most designers use an even number of design software (such as ps), so front-end engineers generally use an even number of fonts.

Ii. Reasons for Browser

First, to accommodate ie6, ie6 will render the character defined as 13px as 14px. You can try writing a page.
Another reason is that even-width Chinese characters, such as 12 PX-width Chinese characters, are removed from the 1-pixel spacing and the actual pixel width is 11px, in this way, the vertical lines of Chinese characters are evenly divided between the left and right. Taking the word "medium" as an example, the vertical lines are in the middle at 12 pixels, and each of the left and right is 5 pixels balanced.

Second, some popular Google browsers generally have a default smallest font, and the rendering of odd fonts is not very nice.

Iii. Practical Application

  • The even font size is more easily proportional to other parts of the web design. For example, if I use a 14 px text font, I may use a 14x0.5 = 7 px margin in some places, in other cases, use the title Font size of 14 × 1.5 = 21 px.
  • The lattice () provided by Windows is only available in the sizes of 12, 14, and 16 px from Vista, the pixels 13, 15, and 17 use the dot matrix of small numbers (that is, the space occupied by each word is 1 px larger, but the dot matrix is not changed), so it is slightly sparse.
