Workarounds for some issues with installing Android Studio

Issue 1: Every time fetching Android SDK component information

This is the check on your Android SDK. Someone will be stuck here for a long time, the big reason is: network connectivity problems. Can be resolved by configuring the hosts (Fan*qiang).

Countermeasures:

In the Android Studio installation directory under the Bin directory, locate the Idea.properties file and append disable.android.first.run=true to the file at the end.

Issue 2: Cannot start new project

Many people say that you cannot create a new project after the installation is complete (the first option point is not moving). This is because the SDK is not configured properly.

Countermeasures:

Choose Configure-Project Defaults-Project Structure

Fill out your SDK installation directory in the Android SDK location.

Issue 4:the envrionment variable java_home does not points to a valid JVM Installatio

Countermeasures:

1. Do not follow the semicolon after Java_home

2. You can try JDK 1.7

Problem 5:gradle DSL Method not Found:runproguard ()

After you upgrade Gradle or update import some non-android studio project will find the following error

Gradle DSL method not found: ' Runproguard () '

Countermeasures:

In the new version of Gradle, Runproguard This method has been deprecated, and changed to a new method: Minifyenabled. Therefore, the correct workaround is not to modify the version number of the Gradle, but instead to change the Runproguard method name in the Build.gradle file corresponding to each module in the project to minifyenabled.
