The proportion of smartphones has gone beyond traditional handsets, and there is no sign that the trend is slowing. A survey by Nielsen found that smartphones accounted for 50% of the U.S. mobile phone market. Android devices in smartphones account for 48%, Apple's iphone occupies 32.1%, and BlackBerry from Rim occupies the remaining 11.6%. According to Nielsen's survey data, in February this year, a new survey of mobile phones in the last three months showed that 48% of users chose the Android phone and 43% chose the iphone, which is clearly not good news for rim.
