ASEAN becomes China's third largest import market

Jia Guoyong, deputy director of the Trade and Industry Bureau of China's Ministry of Commerce, told the Seventh China-ASEAN Expo 19th, China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit news briefing, this year from January to August, China's ASEAN imports of 97.307 billion U.S. dollars, ASEAN has become China's third largest import market. Jia Guoyong, China and ASEAN bilateral trade volume reached 185.38 billion U.S. dollars from January to August this year, an increase of 47.2% per cent year-on-year. Among them, China's imports from the ASEAN countries were 97.307 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 54.4% per cent, China's exports to ASEAN 88.072 billion U.S. dollars, an increase of 40%. ASEAN has become China's third largest import market and the fourth largest export market.
