Chen Deming: Measures to stimulate domestic demand will not exit

Chen Deming, China's commerce minister, said China's policy of stimulating domestic demand, introduced during the global financial crisis, would not exit and would gradually establish a regular, sustainable domestic consumer market. Mr Chen said macroeconomic policies in the second half of China remained stable, and that the Government would maintain a positive fiscal policy and a moderately loose monetary policy. Measures to stimulate domestic consumption are not temporary, and China's next step is to build a regular, sustainable domestic consumer market. China's domestic consumption has grown at a rate of 17% to 18% per annum in recent years, surpassing GDP growth, Chen said.　　China's domestic consumer market is expected to overtake Japan in 2015 years and overtake the US as the world's largest consumer market in 2020.
