China's largest investment project in Vietnam approved

The total investment of 1.749 billion U.S. dollars, is currently China's largest investment in Vietnam, the first unit is expected to put into operation in 2014, "financial network" reporter Liu Jia August 27, the Southern power grid issued a press release said the national Development and Reform Commission formally approved the company to invest in Vietnam Yongxing coal-fired power plant Phase I bot　　The total investment of 1.749 billion U.S. dollars, is currently China's largest investment in Vietnam project, is expected to launch the first unit in 2014.　　The project, located in the smooth province of southern Vietnam, built 2 600,000-kilowatt subcritical thermal power units, using Vietnamese local anthracite, all of which were acquired by the Vietnam State power company and eliminated in southern Vietnam.　　The project will be financed from China's syndication, using Chinese-made electrical equipment, to be constructed by Chinese companies. In November 2006, the southern Grid Company and the Ministry of Industry of Viet Nam signed a memorandum of understanding on the bot development of the Southern power grid to invest in the Phase I Project of Yongxing power plant in Vietnam (2x60 million kw).　　September 2007, the Southern power grid and the CLP International, Vietnam Coal Mining Industry Group signed an agreement to jointly fund the construction. In the first half of this year, China's direct investment in Vietnam was 74.2 million U.S. dollars, up 131.1% per cent year-on-year, according to the latest statistics released by the embassy's Business department website.　　Vietnam's new batch of China investment projects 35, 5 times times the same period last year, the agreement amounts to 60.5 million U.S. dollars, is 8.5 times times the same period last year. China ranked 11th in 39 countries and regions that invest in Vietnam.
