Cloud computing will lead to six predictions of change in IT industry

With the popularity of cloud computing, we are on the eve of a break-through change, and CIOs are in a dilemma. To do this, manufacturers are constantly offering sweet promises that can be smoothly migrated to cloud computing, with the purchase of software, hardware, or a whole cloud of services. CIOs have also begun to let them get used to this seductive noise. So we have reason to assert that CIOs will eventually be calm, although cloud computing applications will replace most of the traditional applications that make up today's systems.

But we also have reason to believe that cloud change will eventually succeed. Thus, a clear picture of the contours of the post-cloud era has become a matter of concern.

In the post-cloud era, cloud computing has been widely accepted, not just as it is today, but as a choice in a variety of computational forms. And I believe that the post-cloud era is not too far from now.

So what are the characteristics of the post-cloud era?

First, large-scale data processing capabilities will become a universal feature of the system. In the post-cloud era, each system will be designed to handle massive amounts of data, and each application becomes more resilient to the needs of massive data.

Second, the network era is really coming. Cisco's CTO has predicted that near-trillions of devices will be linked to the Internet in the near future. This makes it necessary to embrace the real post-PC era. We are going to be more and more dedicated to the network of specialized devices to transfer. Instead of having to stare at the monitors to read our blood pressure readings, the test equipment will transmit the test values to the monitoring system. There are a lot of similar devices around us, and we can even ignore them while they are running normally.

Third, the cost of ownership of IT systems has fallen dramatically. I said that the decline is not only the software or hardware, but refers to the first link in the IT supply chain. Open source software will significantly replace the current operating system, middleware and application software.

Four, it reorganization it. An increasing number of public cloud providers provide a benchmark within which IT systems must be able to match this benchmark. Smart CIOs will therefore realise that their role is more to manage the public architecture than to have more it assets. CIOs who are unaware of this may be discarded by user organizations.

The PAAs is the key to solving the problem. Many people think of cloud computing as an on-demand virtual machine, but in fact far from it. Application developers waste time making applications more scalable and resilient to the top. But utilities address these problems, allowing developers to focus more on the business utility. This makes it organizations in the enterprise more dependent on PAAs than ever before.

There is a shortage of application developers. Because there is a shortage of developers who can create apps in the post-Cloud era, smart CIOs are now starting to focus on and trawl for such talent.
