Consumer prices rose 1.5% per cent year-on-year in January

January, the total level of consumer prices rose 1.5% year-on-year. Among them, cities rose 1.4%, rural areas rose 1.8%, food prices rose 3.7%, Non-food prices rose 0.5%, consumer prices rose 2%, and service prices rose 0.2%.　　On a month-on-month scale, consumer prices rose 0.6% per cent from December 2009; Food prices rose 1.8%, with fresh food prices rising 5.2% per cent and eggs prices up 1.6% per cent. First, food prices rose 3.7% year-on-year. Among them, the price of poultry and its products fell 3.5% (of which the price of pork fell 8.6%), the price of fresh vegetables rose 17.1%, food prices rose 9.8%, oil prices fell 1.9%, aquatic product prices rose 3.9%, fresh fruit prices rose 9.8%, eggs price rose 6.8%, condiment price rose 3.0　　%。 Second, tobacco and alcohol and supplies category prices rose 1.5% year-on-year.　　Among them, tobacco prices rose 0.5%, alcohol prices rose 3.3%. Third, clothing prices fell 0.4% year-on-year.　　Among them, clothing prices fell 0.4%, clothing processing service fees rose 2.7%. Four, household equipment supplies and maintenance services prices fell 1.1% year-on-year.　　Among them, consumer durables prices fell 2.4%, home service and processing maintenance services prices increased by 2.7%. Five, health care and personal products prices rose 2.3% year-on-year.　　Among them, Western medicine prices rose 0.9%, Chinese herbal medicines and proprietary Chinese medicine prices rose 6.6%, health care services prices rose 1%. Traffic and communications prices fell 0.5% year-on-year.　　Among them, transport prices fell 1.3%, vehicle fuel and spare parts prices rose 18.5%, vehicle use and maintenance prices rose 0.6%, urban transport prices fell 0.9%, urban public transport costs rose 0.8%; the price of communication tools fell 15.5%. Seven, entertainment education stationery and service prices fell 1.2% year-on-year.　　Among them, the price of learning miscellaneous kindergartens rose 1.1%, the price of entertainment costs rose 1.3%, tourism prices fell 7.2%, entertainment with durable consumption and service prices fell 6.9%. Eight, the residential category price rose 2.5% year-on-year. Among them, water, electricity and fuel prices rose 4.6%, building and decoration materials prices rose 0.8%, rental prices rose 2.9%.
