Interactive performance optimization in desktop virtualization environment

The proposed hardware-assisted virtualization greatly improves the performance of full virtualization. However, there are still a lot of limitations in interactive performance for desktop virtualization applications such as network classrooms under full virtualization. Interactive performance is primarily affected by I/O performance: On the one hand I/O devices are slow devices, and on the other, virtualization is used to share devices. This paper improves the interactive performance of full virtualization, utilizes the physical characteristics of multi-core processor to deploy virtual machines, dynamically adjusts the use resources of virtual machines according to user's behavior, and optimizes the I/O scheduling based on virtualization features.
