This report (reporter Ma Wenting) National Bureau of Statistics, NDRC, State Energy Bureau recently issued a communiqué showed that the first half of China's energy consumption year-on-year growth 11.2%,GDP year-on-year growth of 11.1%, in order to measure the energy consumption per unit of GDP rose 0.09%. This figure has improved compared with the first quarter, but there is still a gap between the completion of the "Eleven-Five" energy saving and emission reduction tasks. Zheng, a professor of national economic management at Renmin University of China, said the government's pressure to save energy and reduce emissions is also growing in the context of slowing growth. According to the revised "Eleven-Five" period of energy consumption measured by the National Bureau of Statistics, the energy consumption of unit GDP in 2010 should be reduced by 5.21% compared with 2009.
