O ' Connell five years of unremitting appeals reporter Chen Dongxhe correspondent Wang Hailong January 13, the reporter from the State Ministry of Commerce and the Chinese Leather Association learned that the European Union or will be in April this year to waive the Chinese and Vietnamese leather shoes levied 16.5% of anti-dumping duties, as the only one of the appeal business, O ' Connell's 5-year appeal will also usher in a triumphant dawn. Willafi, director of shoe-making Office of China Leather Association, told reporters that the European Union Footwear Federation (CEC) recently issued a news bulletin on the review of leather shoes. The European Union's Footwear Federation has repeatedly negotiated with the European Commission to waive sunset reviews of anti-dumping measures that are being implemented by imported leather shoes from China and Vietnam and about to expire on March 31, the report said. This means that the EU Footwear Federation was scheduled to submit a review request by the end of December 2010 for cancellation. "From the EU's legal process, this means that, in the absence of EU industry complaints, if the European Commission does not initiate a review, the anti-dumping measures against Chinese and Vietnamese leather shoes will be terminated as scheduled March 31 this year." This news is undoubtedly one of the biggest gifts for Chinese leather shoes companies in the new Year. Paling, the Chinese lawyer who has been acting for the case, has interpreted the matter from the perspective of EU law. But Paling also said the European Commission has pledged to monitor all leather shoe imports to ensure that no new dumping or other unfair practices occur, thereby preventing any further damage to EU industries. The EU Footwear Federation is also seeking comprehensive strategies that can cover dumping and other unfair trade practices, as well as market access and respect for intellectual property. "This pair of Chinese leather shoes enterprise beneficial results, inseparable from the Ministry of Commerce through the WTO and the active coordination of the Chinese shoe enterprises represented by the indomitable appeal." Thanks to the hard-line attitude of the Chinese Government and enterprises, and the lack of unity of opinion within the EU Member States, the good outcome of today is welcome. Paling told reporters that the continued appeal of O ' Connell in the early days of the European Union has played a crucial role in the process, representing the attitude of Chinese companies and the sound of Chinese corporate justice, which has forced the Commission to re-examine the case and make its decision in the long run. It is reported that the European Union on October 5, 2006 on the origin of China's leather shoes uniform levy 16.5% anti-dumping duties, the measure period of two years. At the end of 2008, after sunset Review, the European Commission in December 2009 ruled that anti-dumping duties would be extended for 15 months until March 2011.
