SAN FRANCISCO, June 10 morning news, Facebook on Monday in the Apple App Store shelves a new photo and video sharing application Slingshot, but in a few hours later this application off the shelf.
Slingshot appears to be a Snapshot competitor, this app helps users to share "moments", including video and photos, then "sling" to other users.
Users who receive the message can choose to delete the message, or reply to their own "moments." Only when the user decides to reply to the message can they view the incoming message. This mechanism encourages users to share new content. With this application, users can also graffiti or add text on photos, similar to Snapchat.
Slingshot Monday's launch on the App Store was an accident. A spokesman for Facebook said: "Earlier today, we mistakenly released a version of Slingshot, a new application we are developing that allows you to share daily moments with so many people simultaneously. We're going to be happy to have you use this application as soon as the app is up and running. "
It is reported that Facebook last November tried to acquire Snapchat for 3 billion US dollars. Since then, several companies have begun integrating Snapchat-like features into their applications. This includes dating dating applications such as Tinder.
It is not yet clear when Slingshot will be officially released. But no doubt, Snapchat already knows Facebook's existence of this application. (Peacekeeping gold)
