Hong Kong's economy grew by 6.8% in the 3rd quarter of this year, according to new data released by the Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department (Li Yuan), international online news. According to statistics, Hong Kong's GDP grew by 6.8% in the 3rd quarter of this year, up 0.7% from the previous quarter. During the period, Hong Kong's exports of goods remained strong, rising by more than 20% over a year earlier, mainly driven by strong domestic demand in the Asian market, sustained expansion in regional production activities and further recovery in Europe and the US. At the same time, the HKSAR Government announced that it would increase the annual real economic growth and annual inflation forecast for the year. At present, the HKSAR Government has adjusted the annual inflation rate from 2.3% to 2.5%.
