HP again applies 337 survey to inkjet printers

Washington (reporter Hu Feihong) Fair Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce announced yesterday, on May 25, Hewlett-Packard filed an application to the U.S. International Trade Commission accusing the world's 7 production and sales companies of violating 6 patents on inkjet ink cartridges (including print heads), and asked the International Trade Commission to initiate a 337 survey of the applicants, Issue an exclusion order and a restraining order.　　A company in Guangzhou was listed as a defendant. HP filed a 337 investigation application for the same claim on March 5, but on May 26 it applied for withdrawal on the grounds of insufficient preparation time.　　This is the second time the company filed 337 investigation applications, and increased Taiwan Asia-Pacific Systems Co., Ltd. as the defendant. The Commerce ministry said it was the 5th of 337 investigations by U.S. companies in China this year. It is expected that the United States will be formally on June 25 to investigate the case, the investigation is generally completed within 18 months, a case can be all suspected infringing enterprises as defendants.
