Embedded systems can be expanded according to http://www.aliyun.com/zixun/aggregation/14085.html "> Cloud data storage and analysis capabilities, but there is still a gap between the integration of such devices and cloud technology."

Windows embedded Embedded Systems Microsoft Marketing director John Boladian of Asia Pacific and Greater China said cloud computing played a "pivotal role" in broadening the scope of embedded computing. The supervisor is referring to Redmond's view that embedded devices can carry a huge number of potentially efficient data storage and data analysis through cloud computing.

In an interview with ZDNet Asia, Boladian said: "The ability to get information from the Internet is a profound change in the value creation of the enterprise." ”

However, he said, the industry also needs to fill the gap between embedded systems and future Smart systems. "The application of cloud computing in embedded devices and the integration of cloud technologies are at an early stage," he said. ”

While there are gaps, he says, embedded devices are maturing in providing a single functional service and have limited capacity to become smarter, thanks to increased processing power and software complexity.

He further explained that a single functional embedded device has evolved into a "smart system" that has a powerful processor, operating system, and connectivity. With these intelligent systems, organizations can deploy complex interconnected systems to collect, analyze, and exchange data.

Boladian, citing IDC's survey, said the smart system would double twice between 2010 and 2015, as well as the next five years. According to the survey company, the number of units shipped to an embedded system with Internet connectivity will increase from 1.4 billion last year to 3.3 billion in 2015.

In Asia, the smart Systems market is now worth about $144 million trillion. According to IDC forecasts, 2015 years ago, this area will have 800 million equipment, revenue up to 4.55 billion dollars.

Boladian adds that the embedded market provides an "opportunity" for companies that produce and sell hardware software for such devices in large quantities.

Microsoft is now working to develop software designed to fill the gap between embedded devices and cloud computing. Boladian further points out that 1996 software vendors have been based on the market with their Windows CE 1.0 products.

He said: "On the way forward, we will continue to provide a set of enterprise software and cloud services to extend to the daily use of products, including such as Service Point (POS), industrial automation and medical equipment and so on." ”

He points out that, like the automotive and healthcare industries, they are looking for embedded system platforms, not just to make cars and build equipment, but also to create a good customer experience and improve business intelligence.

"By leveraging cloud computing, Windows Embedded Embedded systems are accessing the ' data flow ' inside smart devices anytime, anywhere," Boladian said. ”

In the Asia-Pacific region, Microsoft partners are already developing software based on the existing Windows Embedded platform, he said. In the first half of next year, these partners will have the resources to plan the next version of the Windows Embedded platform, Vnext said.
