Mofcom: China sets up more than 2000 foreign enterprises in Africa

According to the Ministry of Commerce statistics, as of August 2010, China has set up more than 2000 foreign enterprises in Africa, accumulated to achieve various types of investment of 32.3 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for China's total foreign investment of more than One-tenth. The Chinese Government's investment cooperation with Africa through the fields of resources, energy, infrastructure construction and financial credit has helped to boost local economic development in Africa. From 2000 to 2009, China's total unpaid aid and interest-free loans to Africa increased by 463%, and concessional lending increased 22 times times.
