After three days of fierce competition, 27 start-ups in the TechCrunch Disrupt competition in New York completed the entire show, and the eventual winner was Vurb.

Vurb is a web-based and mobile-based content search engine that aims to improve the mobile web browsing experience by providing users with more relevant information.

Vurb has launched a search service for geolocation, movies and media and soon will launch search services for people, start-ups and other content. For example, if you search for a movie with Vurb, you'll see relevant trailers, screenings, reviews, Netflix links, and more in the search results.

The TechCrunch Disrupt competition takes place annually, with Soluto (2010), Getaround (2011), UberConference (2012) and Enigma (2013) winning over the past few years. That four start-up companies have developed after all want to be good, but until now no single company has become the industry giants.

Soluto, which received $ 18 million in investment, continues to provide small businesses with the tools to manage and service PCs. Just last month, it just launched a new service for small businesses that supports up to 10 PCs.

Getaround, a peer-to-peer car rental startup, has so far received a total of $ 19 million in investment from investors such as Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, Collaborative Fund, Monroe Ventures Menlo Ventures and CrunchFund funds. It is a relatively young company, but it will surely become a rising star in the shared economy. Just last month, Getaround entered into a partnership with San Francisco that secured access to the city's 450-block parking space.

UberConference has developed quite well, and it formed a partnership with Evernote earlier this year to add note-sharing capabilities to conference calls.

Enigma completed Series A financing earlier this year, securing a $ 4.5 million investment. (Lin Jingdong)
