Fn+f8 key combination, Lenovo notebook computer general default settings hotkey. This will close the trackpad.

Open Control Panel-"Hardware and sound"-"Select Mouse".

In the mouse settings bar, the rightmost has a "ultranav" column, click on it, there are two check boxes below, one for the TrackPoint, this is the ThinkPad notebook above the small red Hat function, enable touchpad, this is the Touchpad function, two tick off, The touchpad is disabled.
