Pearl River delta Yangtze River Delta Survey: Peasant workers Social Security purchase rate less than 50%

Recently, the research report on the theory and Practice of peasant workers ' rights and Interests protection was published by Sun Yat-sen, Nanjing University, Shanghai University and Zhejiang Industrial and commercial University four schools. In July this year, in August, more than 4,000 migrant workers surveyed by the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River deltas showed that, although in 2009, various insurance and related treatment for migrant workers had improved over 2008 years, but the growth rate was modest. In addition to industrial injury insurance, other insurance purchase rate, such as medical, pension, unemployment, childbirth has not reached 50%.　　The investigation found that the urgent need of the migrant workers and the low coverage of the two risks in the real world show that the current insurance system needs further improvement. The investigation shows that the weak legal consciousness is the difficult problem that the immigrant workers face in the process of spelling. The level of knowledge about the laws and regulations of foreign workers is between "general" and "unfamiliar". The group of migrant workers considered themselves to have been abused by about 6%, down 1.5% from 2008, of which about 70% per cent of the incidents were related to wages.　　For working hours and work environment, about three-fourths of the foreign workers expressed their views on the business and did not reflect. Migrant workers looking for jobs in the cities face many problems in their real life.　　Nearly 65% of migrant workers say they have difficulty in interacting with local people, and the most common factors affecting communication are language problems, followed by living habits and values. The report said that Guangdong, as the window of reform and opening-up, is now facing the test of industrial structure adjustment and service upgrading, so it is of typical significance to study the labor situation.
