Performance evaluation of open source cloud platform based on high performance computing
Timothy Zhang Xuejie
Cloud computing is a new model of Internet resource utilization that provides various IT services, and has been widely used in a wide range of areas including high-performance computing. However, virtualization brings some performance overhead, and the different cloud platforms implement virtualization technologies that make it possible to apply High-performance computing services on these cloud platforms in a variety of ways. Evaluate real-world workloads for CPU, memory, network, scalability, and high performance with HPC Challenge (HPCC) Benchmark and Nas Parallel Benchmark (NPB), comparing and analyzing such nimbus, Opennebula and OpenStack implement High-performance computing performance, the experiment shows that openstack to compute-intensive high-performance application load performance, therefore, OpenStack is the implementation of High-performance computing open source cloud Platform is a good choice.
