China Economic Network Beijing December 6 (intern reporter Liu Yang) According to the Russian news agency December 3 reported that although China suffered floods and droughts this year, but its grain production still increased by nearly 3%, the statistics released today by the China National Bureau of Statistics show. According to data from 31 provinces in China, food production was 54.641 billion tonnes in 2010, an increase of 2.9% from last year.　　But China's sown area this year has fallen by 1/5 compared with last year, only 109.8 million hectares. Although drought in southwestern China has led to a decline in grain production, the northeast and Inner Mongolia have ensured overall stability in food production.
