Samsung will show 5.5-inch deformable mobile screen this year at CES

According to CNET, Samsung Electronics officials say the 5.5-inch deformable screen will be displayed at CES this year. The screen, designed for mobile phones, has a 1280x720 pixel density of 267 pixels. In addition, Samsung will display a 55-inch TV screen. The Wall Street Journal had previously reported that Samsung planned to mass produce variable-form plastic screens to replace glass screens on mobile devices. According to previous news, Samsung's plastic screen will integrate OLED technology, which is now used on Samsung's mobile phones and television devices. OLED screens are thinner and can be placed in deformable plastic or metal foil, making the entire screen more durable and lighter. This variable OLED technology has been in development for many years, including the release of models like Sony and LG. The confirmation at the CES conference shows that the variable-form screen has made great strides, but it may take some time to actually commercialize.
