The reporter learned yesterday from the Shenzhen Toy Association, Mexico has issued a proposal (PROY-NOM-252-SSA1-2008), will be the current toys of harmful chemicals requirements to make a variety of changes, and the toy sampling requirements and testing methods are stipulated. The proposal puts more stringent requirements on harmful chemicals for children aged 3 and below who are able to suck, bite and swallow, as well as for school children (aged 6 and below). Among them, arsenic content from 100 mg per kilogram to 25 mg, cadmium content per kilogram from 100 mg to 75 mg, chromium content per kilogram from 250 mg to 60 mg, lead content per kilogram from 600 mg to 90 mg and so on.
