If possible, try to reproduce the system crash in the text console (CONTROL+ALT+F1)
When a system crash occurs, press the ALT+SYSRQ+1 key combination and then press ALT+SYSRQ+T. If you are using a text console, you should see a set of tracking information printed on the screen. If the system can survive, the information is also recorded in the/var/log/kern.log file and can be seen in the output of the DMESG command. This information gives you a breakdown of where the crash began, and should include this information when submitting any problem reports.
